I have fallen dreadfully behind....again. It's not that my life is amazingly busy, in fact I probably allot myself more free time than I should...so, I don't really have that as an excuse. Just haven't blogged...hmmmm...
So, a brief summary of some things we've done:

Last weekend, we ventured to the new foot bridge downtown. Pretty cool...didn't feel as high as I thought it would, which was good for me. Looks pretty cool. I am all for adding as much stuff to our downtown area as possible....I love the feel of a big city(don't know if Omaha will ever feel big to me, though), so as close as we can get to that the better.
Let me vent for a moment, though. As most of you know, I am a dog lover. It's very hard for me to complain about dogs on any level, however, one thing I do despise is dog poop. In particular, dog poop that is left behind by someone else's dog. Especially, when it's left on a foot bridge right up next to the railing...right where people stand to check out the view...right where it is obvious many people have already stood and then smeared it all over the rest of the foot bridge. What is that? Why are people sooooo lazy when it comes to cleaning up after their dogs? Seriously, do you think the rest of us believe that you just didn't happen to notice your dog in the ever so graceful stance only dogs take while relieving themselves? That you truly didn't notice the pile of stuff left behind...and when you did notice it, what did you say to yourself? 'Oh, that's okay, that pile of delightfully scented green stuff will just blow away in the wind'(let me add here that Grace said, 'Mom, poop doesn't blow away in the wind, it just sticks'....EXACTLY)? I just don't get it. It's rude and furthermore it's against the law in Omaha to not pick up after your dog....not that laws make much difference to people. I understand that you are in the middle of the bridge and when a dog has to go, well, dogs don't care what you want, they just go, but bring along a bag. What, you didn't bring a bag? Well, what you should have learned in Dogs 101...no bag=no walk. There were piles all over that bridge. Just disgusting.
Phew...that concludes my sermon for the day.

Let's see..what else. Had a nice visit w/ Mike's sister Lynn and baby Braydon. The whole group hung out for dinner one night and the next afternoon found the girls and me back for another visit. Nothing funnier(well, maybe some things are funnier) than two babies hanging out. At one point, we had both partaking in a scream fest..pretty hilarious. Their cries couldn't be more different, nor could their looks. Priceless.

Grace and I went treasure hunting w/ Grandpa Oberle in his orchard.

I had to share this one: Emerson was taking a nap(yes, I know, there is nothing right about Emerson's nap...she's on her tummy!...she's on our bed instead of hers!...she's covered in a blanket!...I promise I check on her every 5 mins when she is like that, but let's get real folks, babies like sleeping on their bellies!) and Grace decided she needed a friend. If Emerson only knew how much her sister looks out for her...ahhh, someday she will.
