Goodbye Young Friend

Goodbyes are never easy.

Grace had to say an unexpected goodbye to her sweet hamster friend Crystal last week. She has struggled with it so much that she has refused to visit the spot where Crystal is buried, however....

...that popsicle stick cross wasn't there this morning...

Such a hard loss for such a sweet girl. I love my Gracie Bug and you know what...I loved that Crystal, too. We all did.

So....started w/ a little Emerson self cut action over the weekend...

Which led to her winding up in a place such as this today...for the very first time, I might add...

When I was young, my mom and I would sit for hours in the same room, each lost in our own book. I hoped that if I ever had kids one day, that I would get to do that with my own....I got my wish over the weekend. Happy moment for me.
