How Did You Spend Your Day?

Grace spent her day perusing thru baked owl vomit looking for small bones and fur from previously consumed little rodents.  And do you want to know what the bonus was?  She got to bring her little bag of vomit home with her....a party favor, if you will.  It's contents were forced upon all who live w/ her and well, it was cool.  She has self-proclaimed herself a science chick and believe me...I know more about plants, mammals and reptiles than ever before...thanks to my 8yr old scientist.  So great to see her excited about something!!

Where can you too find your own bag of dried owl vomit?  Fontenelle Forest, baby.  Yep.  G had a great time w/ her entire 3rd grade class touring the place today and I am so thankful to my dear friend Jen for capturing the day as I couldn't be there to do it myself. 

Madison and Grace...buddies since age 5.  Love these two together.

Open House

Last night was open house night at Emerson's preschool...so the fam got to come see where she hangs out every Tues and Thurs. 

 

 

We LOVE Eme's teacher, Mrs. Long, she is the sweetest thing....Eme was happy to show G around her room...

Calendar time....

Meet Franklin...he lives in Eme's classroom, but is shared amongst the entire school.  As a volunteer who works w/ the 2 yrs olds a lot....let me tell you....this little guy has calmed many a crying, screaming child this year!!!  Thank heavens for Franklin!!! :)

I ADORE how close these two are....that's the entire point. :)

Just to rub it in...my dad is cooler than yours...he did hopscotch with the girls outside the school...that's him...airborne!!!  HA!!!
