The Walls Did Look A Little Bare

Emerson worked on some new artwork for our walls today...

...she works cheap, if you're interested...

Did I mention she works on glass doors, windows and tables, too? She's quite versatile.

Peace & Love, Dude

Today is the infamous 50's-60's-70's day at school. Can you guess the decade we chose? Considering she just told me about it last night...I think we did alright. :)

Mayer

Several people have asked....I just forgot to post.

John Mayer was amazing...as always! He is amazingly talented and I am reminded of this a hundred times over every time I see him. This was my sixth Mayer show and it was one of the best. :)

Grace loves him, too. Mayer was the only thing that would calm her down when she would throw fits and such as a baby...perhaps it's because I listened to him nonstop while pregnant w/ her. No matter, she likes to see him...this was her second Mayer show and she was pretty psyched. :)

After leaving Emerson w/ Daddy, we headed down to Spaghetti Works in the Old Market...one of our very favorite places to eat...

During the opening band, we wandered the halls, hanging w/ the animals...we did drop in to hear the last song of the opening group, Michael Franti and the Spearheads...

Mayer had Grace's full attention...

...even while snacking...

A little over halfway, she decided to listen and color...

...finally giving in to the fact that it was a school night, she crashed, although she fought it hard...lucky for me, she woke up long enough to walk to the car...

She was tired, but very proud to wear her new t-shirt to school the next day...so proud, in fact, that she wore it the next 3 days or so until I finally made her take it off...

What a great night spent w/ my buddy...

One Last Hug From Winter

Sixty degrees and sunny yesterday...thirty degrees and snowy today...

Here it comes...

Here it is...

It's Good To Be Irish

Okay, so we aren't really Irish... we like to celebrate the green day just because it's fun. :)

Nothing like a little green...

Grace's homemade decorations adorned the front door...

Green beverages for all..

Green moustache for one...

Finally some spring like weather to enjoy...

Grace's menu choice...green spaghetti, broccoli, green jello...

...and green ice cream sandwiches for dessert...

A sneaky leperchaun visited Grace that night leaving a pot of gold chocolate and gold coins...

A little note...we discovered that leperchauns don't write all their letters correctly...:)

A trail of glitter and confetti...

...lead to the point of entry...sneaky little dude...

Until next year....an Irish blessing...

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God be with you and bless you:
May you see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.
